Race Rules

By entering the event, the participant acknowledges acceptance of these conditions:

  • All participants for the 10K must be 16 or over on the date of the event.

  • All participants must write their name and details of any health problems or medication on the reverse of the race number along with details of next of kin or someone who can be contacted in the event of an emergency. Participants should also inform the race organisers, in advance of the event, of any special medical conditions.
  • Numbers must be worn on the front of shirts/vests and be visible throughout the race.

  • If you wish to leave your kit in the baggage area, write your race number on a baggage tag and tie it to your bag. Although this area will be supervised, all belongings are left at the owners risk.

  • Participants are strongly advised not to wear headphones during the race, for the safety of themselves and others. Anyone wearing headphones does so at their own risk and should be aware that the 10k route does include crossing road junctions, so it is most important to be able to hear instructions given by the marshals at all times.

  • All participants agree that during the race they will obey the Marshals’ instructions, keep to the left hand side of the road when instructed to and not to cross to the other side of the road unless informed to do so by an official.
  • All participants understand that photographs may be taken of them during the race by the race photographer and confirm that they are happy for images to be used on any future race publicity materials including race posters, photographs on the race website or on race publicity flyers. The organisers will not use any images of children without specific permission, in addition to the agreement requested here.

  • This is a cross country, multi-terrain event and all competitors enter it at their own risk. While medical assistance is provided for the duration of the event, no liability will be accepted by Steeple Morden Primary School, Landowners or individual race organisers for any loss, damage, injury or illness incurred or indirectly caused by entering this race.
